Alessandra Jann-Jordan was born in Paris, France on October 31, 1979. Growing up, Alessandra participated in several exchange programs that allowed her to get an education while exploring a new and different culture. Her world travels include: England, Peru, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Cambodia, New York and Hawaii. She is fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, English and speaks fair German.
Alessandra possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology/Sociology from Middlebury College, VT and two Masters Degrees from Oxford University, UK, in Medieval Italian Literature and Social Work. She currently works as a social worker in Hawaii for foster families with an emphasis on child protection. A notable achievement in her career so far was having earned an award from New York City for her social work with the Association to Benefit Children.
Alessandra enjoys philosophy, history, learning about world cultures, travelling, yoga and creative enterprises. Being the daughter of two accomplished architects, she was exposed to and developed an avid interest in artistic fashions. Alessandra has been creating and custom making handcrafted libretti (‘little books’ in Italian) and jewelry for the past seven years. Her business, Reverie by Alessandra, opened in 2010 and is operated from Honolulu, HI.
Reverie by Alessandra specializes in decorative, handcrafted, unique, specialized gifts called libretti, as well as jewelry that include semi-precious stones, crystal elements, hand blown glass beads among other elements. Each libretto and piece of jewelry represents a distinct dimension of Alessandra's personality and experience and tailors to the client’s desires, specifications and preferences.
